When we think of academic excellence here at LSUA, what we want to do is make sure people understand that when it comes to higher education, we're not just another option. We are distinctively different from other universities and colleges, and those graduate schools. These include things like leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, scholarship, and research. And we get our students to develop interpersonal skills that are also highly desirable. The quality of education is excellent. So we haven't sacrificed quality. But we have made it affordable. With being an out of state student cost was definitely top of my list. I was definitely looking for an institution that would be able to provide the most bang for my buck. And I definitely think LSUA hits all of those targets. I'm so glad to be at LSUA, because I am able to do everything that a larger institution would be able to provide for me at a fraction of the cost. Upon my high school graduation, I completed a total of 44 college credit hours here at LSUA. I would recommend LSUA dual enrollment to any high school student that's looking to start their career early. I really credit LSUA's dual enrollment with getting me to where I am, and helping me build strong roots, and I really feel confident going into whatever's next. We have five colleges and five deans to lead those colleges. They're able to reach into the community and develop relationships with potential employers, businesses, organizations, and others who will hire our graduates, but who will also offer internships to our students while they're here. That will also be facilitated by our Center for Career Development, which is important as students again-- work towards their senior year and beyond.
